Proper clamping of the top cover is important for trouble-free operation of ROTEX® Screeners. The patented compensating clamp makes this easy by providing an indicator that shows the operator whether the clamp setting is too high, too low or correct. Once the clamps are properly adjusted, the clamping force is maintained by a compensating spring.
With all clamps engaged, the indicator on each clamp will show if it is properly adjusted. Incorrectly set clamps can then be individually disengaged and adjusted by turning the handle clockwise to increase the force and counter clockwise to decrease it. Once the clamps are properly set, there is no need for further adjustment.
Features & Benefits
- Visual indicator confirms proper clamp adjustment and prevents overclamping that can damage components.
- Uniform clamping force for improved sealing.
- Correct clamping force restrains screen frames, preventing damage to components and reducing seal wear.
- Continuously compensates for seal wear and thermal expansion.
